It's name is dimethyl fumarate,referred as DMF,CAS number and EINECS numbers are:624-49-7and 210-849-0. Under normal condition,DMF is a white crystal or crystalline powder,which is easysublimation,and soluble in ethanol,slightly soluble in water. Activated carbon adsorption principle:   the balance of its surface layer of particles on the surface concentration,then the organic matter adsorbed to activated carbon particles of impurities within the initial period of adsorption is very high.But over time,the  adsorption capacity of activated carbon will be reduced to varying degrees,resulting in reduced adsorption.If the aquarium water turbidity,high levels of organic matter in water,activated carbon filtering will soon be lost.Therefore,the activated carbon should be regularly cleaned or replaced.
